One state reverie

One state reverie is a theatre play has participated in 2019 Sydney Fridge Festival was hold at Sydney NIDA theatre on 22-24 Sep 2019.

One state reverie is a modern theatre play which incorporates aspects of movement art, singing, poetry and dialogue, formulated under the Sydney based association of Huaxing Arts Group and Australian Chinese Artist’s Association (ACPAA).

The play composed of 5 paragraphs, which are "Dream Space", "Dream Ease", "Dream Together", "Dream Superposition" and "Dream Return to Zero". The script uses short and philosophical lines,

The play centres around the journey many Chinese immigrants face upon leaving their mother country, embarking upon a unknown foreign socio-political and culture landscape. In reflection of this, all members of the One State Reverie troupe are local Chinese migrant’s who’s histories reflect the nature of this play.

It is disordered as individuals evolve and grow in different stages. It is systematic as individuals, although with diversified growth, are part of a systematic evolution cycle. Simply put, it allowed to experience a very interesting paradoxical effect.

the calamity of the life long struggle through time in comparison to the consistent ticking of time and the coherent movement of the individuals through time. One could interpret that the scene where time was ticking was an allegory of birth, growth, change and then ultimately, death.
